A vacant lot near Valley Creek Mall will get a new life - complete with coffee and donuts.

Woodbury City Council approved a plan for a new multi-tenant retail space at the southwest corner of Valley Creek Road and Interstate 494. It will include a drive-thru Dunkin' combined with Baskin-Robbins ice cream, a development representative confirmed at the July 17 city council meeting.

Planning documents say customers will be able to enter the site using Weir Drive.

A Skelly Oil Company gas station opened on the site in 1963 and operated until 1993, when it was demolished, according to city documents. The location is currently vacant. The surrounding area includes Pizza Hut, McDonald's, another multi-tenant retail building and Valley Creek Mall.
