Voices of the Valley is hosting live music on the Cannon Valley Trail at Welch Station on Saturday, June 11 by Flatt & Square, a fun band from Red Wing who play a mix of bluegrass, old-timey, old country, folk, and Celtic songs and fiddle tunes.

The group usually consists of Katryn Conlin, Ben Manning, David Manning, but are occasionally joined by other Minnesota musician friends. The members are associated with the stringed instrument program at MSC Southeast in Red Wing and two of them are professional luthiers. Their moniker is “musicians who build the instruments they play.”

Flatt & Square will be playing from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Welch Station Access is at 26674 144th Ave Way, Welch, MN and can be accessed by driving if you’d like to enjoy the event, but aren’t able to bike there.

Voices of the Valley music and interpretive programs are scheduled on Saturdays throughout the summer, weather permitting. Upcoming events include Patti and the Reeds Irish band on June 25th and Lee Mensinger on July 2nd . For more information visit www.cannonvalleytrail.com.
