The Red Wing football team fell behind 27-0 in the first quarter and was unable to recover as Stewartville added in the second and third to win 42-0 Friday night.

Third downs gave the Wingers issues. The Tigers converted on 6 of 10 attempts on third down while the Wingers converted one of nine. The Tigers had time of possession in their favor too, 32:53 to 13:10.

Winger running back Kaleb Hove ran the ball 10 times and gained 58 yards. Antonio Finley rushed five times for 24 yards. Finley also caught two passes for 10 yards.

Red Wing next faces Byron at home Saturday.
