The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their boys' and girls' track and field coaches of the year for each state on Thursday, July 11, and Rosemount girls' head coach Sara Hatleli was chosen for Minnesota. She and Ben Nylander of Jordan High School were chosen as coaches of the year for Minnesota and will now be considered for USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year award, which will be announced later this month.

Hatleli helped lead the Irish girls' track and field team to a historic season as they won the Minnesota State High School League Class AA state championship this past June, the Class AAA True Team state championship and Section 1AA and South Suburban Conference championships as well. Her team also rewrote the Rosemount High School record books in numerous events.
