A record broken. Senior Megan Erickson is now the all-time leader in points scored with 1,562. Erickson broke Mark Whitson’s record of 1,557 points set during the 1988 season. 

Winter sports has nearly come to a close for area schools. With just weightlifting left to wrap up their season on April 9, Cannon Falls and Randolph students are preparing to leave the gyms and head outside. 

There were record breakers, state qualifiers, and athletes to watch in the future on display on an almost daily basis.

The Beacon decided to take a look back at all of the memorable photos and videos during the winter sports season.

It didn't take long for Calvin Singewald to pin Zumbrota-Mazeppa wrestler Myles Ramer on Feb. 13. Singewald pinned Ramer in 19 seconds.
