Ellsworth trailed in the second quarter and again in the third quarter. The Panthers scored late in the third quarter and early in the fourth to cap off a 36-26 victory Friday over Osceola.
Osceola took a 20-14 lead with 2 minutes, 20 seconds left in the second quarter. The Panthers struck quickly less than a minute later on a 45-yard touchdown pass from Jack Janke to Max Grand.
The Panthers fell behind again after an Osceola touchdown with 7:22 left in the third. Again, the Panthers needed little time to respond. Janke ran in from a yard out to regain the lead for good with 5:01 left in the third.
Janke ended the game 6-for-9 for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Janke rushed the ball the five times for 30 yards and two touchdowns. Max Grand and Ashten Quade each rushed for over 100 yards.
Ellsworth (5-0) comes home to face Prescott Friday, Oct. 1.
