PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the City of Red Wing Advisory Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., to hear and make a recommendation on a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Major Change request by Siewert Construction, 910 Main Street, Suite 201, Red Wing, to amend the Siewert's Briarwood PUD. The proposal specifically calls for the final platting of Outlot E in SIEWERT'S BRIARWOOD with detached townhome units along the northerly extension of Briarwood Drive instead of the PUD's original plan to construct single family homes in this area. In addition, the proposal requests the vacation of 3,015 square feet of dedicated parkland adjacent to Outlot E that would accommodate lot layout in the detached townhouse development. The parkland area proposed for vacation involves a natural drainage area and no park improvements. The partial Park Vacation request requires a public hearing with the City Council; notice is hereby given that the City Council will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., to hear and act on the proposed Park Vacation. Both meetings will involve discussions regarding the Park Vacation; however, the formal public hearing will be held by the City Council. Plat and Parcel Number: 55-924-0570 and 55-924-0600. The legal description of this property is as follows: Outlot E, SIEWERT'S BRIARWOOD and Park, SIEWERT'S BRIARWOOD, City of Red Wing, Goodhue County, and Minnesota. No address has been assigned to this vacant property. Written or oral comments to said PUD Major Change and Park Vacation request may be presented at these public hearings or filed with the City Clerk prior to each hearing. Each response will be duly considered and evaluated before any formal action is taken by the Planning Commission and City Council. The applicant and the public will have the opportunity to present comments on the Advisory Planning Commission's recommendations at a City Council meeting. The purpose of allowing comments is to provide the applicant and the public with the opportunity to directly address the Council on the matter. The comment period cannot be used for the presentation of new information as all relevant information needs to be provided to the Advisory Planning Commission at the public hearing. If new information is presented to the City Council that was not considered at the public hearing of the Advisory Planning Commission, the Council may vote to send the matter back to the Advisory Planning Commission. All comments will be kept to the customary 3-minute limit. The City Council meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on September 27, 2021. Teri L. Swanson City Clerk City of Red Wing, Minnesota Date: September 8, 2021 (Sept. 11, 2021)2903821
