Advertisement for Bids Wastewater Treatment Facility Primary Digester Cover Replacement – Cover & Mixer Procurement Notice is hereby given that Bids will be received electronically by the City of Red Wing through Quest Construction Document Network ( until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the procurement of the Wastewater Treatment Facility Primary Digester cover and mixers. The bid opening will be at 10:15 AM to allow for downloading of documents and will occur through Zoom video conferencing. Go to Website, select “Join A Meeting” in the upper right corner. Major components of the Work include: procurement of replacement radial beam fixed cover, draft tube mixers and appurtenances for the Primary Digester in Red Wing, MN. There will be a separate contract for a General Contractor to construct and install procured equipment during Summer 2022. Bidding instructions for prime contractors are available for download from Quest CDN, call 952-233-1632 or online at in their plan room using Quest eBidDoc™ #8100859 for a non-refundable fee of $30 or for plan holders that do not intend to submit a bid the fee is $15. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Hand delivered or mailed bids will not be accepted. Bidder as a company shall have experience as a digester cover and draft tube mixing manufacturer. Manufacturers must have installed and had in satisfactory use for a period of not less than 5 years, a minimum of 10 installations of equivalent equipment specified and shall submit evidence of such with shop drawings. Submitted bids that do not meet the above minimum qualifications will be rejected. Questions should be submitted in writing to Brendan Wolohan at by Noon on January 24, 2022. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the City of Red Wing in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract with the Owner for the work described in the Bidding Documents. This deposit will be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. The deposit of lowest bidder will be retained by the Owner until the contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than Sixty one (61) days.
